The building is designed in the architectural style of a traditional, late-Edo apartment. The Potion Hut is on the first floor, a vibrant ship filled with plants, potions, and hopefully the occasional customer who comes in to make a purchase. It's the main focus of the building, with the stairs in the back blocked off to anyone other than the three residents of the apartments above.

The first floor is dedicated to the kitchen, dining, and living area, with a bathroom off to the side. A kotatsu is in the center of the living space, ready to warm up anyone who comes to visit during the winter months. Behind sliding doors is a bedroom belonging to Melius. It's filled with all sorts of plants, especially mushrooms, which probably gives the rest of the first floor a nice, earthy smell. A set of stairs are nestled into the back of the kitchen to give access to the next level.

The second floor has Sakura and Sasuke's quarters, with a central space for relaxing for the two of them. It's a large, open floor plan with privacy screens separating off the different areas instead of doors. Sasuke's bedroom is mostly bare, with a sleeping mat and a dresser being more or less the only decorations within the room. Sakura's portion of the room is decorated with various images of spring, particularly sakura blossom paintings, as well as various rocks, shells, and knick-knacks that she's found in her time in Trench. There are also papers scattered around most of the living space because of Sakura's work.
